שומר ישראל - שוועבעל, שארף ולבין
After many years, Schwebel, Scharf, and Levine reunite to bring you “Shomer Yisroel”, a timeless piece that resonates now more than ever. With a deep sense of nostalgia and purpose, the harmonies and emotions that defined a generation are back. This release is more than music—it’s a heartfelt plea for Hashem to watch over His people, just as He always has.
As we approach Chanukah, a season of light and triumph, and witness the resilience of Am Yisroel in current times, this song feels especially poignant. It’s a melody of hope, safety, and divine protection—a call for protection, peace, and well-being. May the Protector of Israel guard His people as He guides us to a resounding victory!
Lyrics:
Translation:
For He knows our nature,
He remembers that we are but dust.
Help us, O God of our salvation,
For the sake of the glory of Your Name.
Guardian of Israel, Guardian of Israel,
The holy Creator, protect the remnant of Israel.
We ask of You: let Israel not perish,
Those who declare, "Hear, O Israel."
