this is a new twist on an old slow hartzig song written in pre war poland saying we have to hide an old spudik so that our children should know how an ehrliche yid (a fartzaytishe rebbe) used to look like, and more such lyrics about preserving mesorah and looking back to the past doires with yearning. the chorus is pretty much the same as the original but the rest is not. the tune is nothing close. kind of ironic to modernize such a song and add bass and dj.

Catchy, Heimish, and Yoili's voice is powerful as the rebbe's chulent.
Can someone provide more history and translation to this song? What i'm getting from it is that the helige grandparents, even though they had to hide their Jewishness in public, still held tightly to their minhagim and mesorah in the secret of their homes. Am I right?
