It's a great question, and the answer is just as great.
Hashem saw the purpose of Adam, the purpose of man, was to bring Holiness, Hashem's Shechinah down onto this world. Had it been the other way around, would Hashem have named him Neshamah. But his purpose wasn't to bring the world to a holy place like Shamayim, rather, to bring Hashem's Light down to this world. To make this world holy. His purpose, like ours, is to bring Kedushah to the things that seem unholy in our world.
And that's exactly what the Maccabeats are doing. They brought holiness into this actually not Jewish song.
Thank you Maccabeats! 👏

If you aren't allowed to listen, then go ahead, don't. But just think of what they're doing. Someone might wanna listen to the non Jewish version but instead, they are making it possible for that person to listen to the Jewish one instead.
As it says in Bereishis: Perek Beis Passuk Zaiin : וייצר ה' אלקים את האדם עפר מן האדמה ויפח באפיו נשמת חיים ויהי אדם לנפש חיי
Adam named everything on the world according to it's purpose.
When Hashem created Adam, he was actually made out of a Neshamah and a Guf, a body. Yet Hashem chose to name Adam, Adam, and not Neshamah. Why? Hashem couldv'e named Adam after something spiritual. So why did Hashem name him…
